Ministries

The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church believes that we are commanded to go out and serve others, exemplifying the love that Jesus showed for all those he encountered in his time among us. As Christians, we are called to reach out beyond ourselves and our comfort zone to serve others. Through our faith we know that God goes with us to serve others and to encourage them to follow Him.

Whether you choose to serve within the church, locally in our community, or globally, each area offers an opportunity for service, evangelism, prayer.

Serving Others

In these pages you can find many ways to serve others. Whenever you are ready, we hope you find a way that uses your talents and gifts to serve others, glorifying God.

35"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."

37Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?"

40The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."

—Matthew 25:35–40

Check out the ministries pages for opportunities to serve with in our church, locally in our community and even in our global community through personal service or donations of goods or money.

Evangelism

19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

—Matthew 28:19-20

Evangelism outreach involves bringing the good news of what Jesus offers to others. This is done by relating to people where they are—in their lives and familiar spaces—and showing them what a life following Jesus can mean to them. We do this through inviting them to our church and events, welcoming them, and finding a way to fulfill their needs, just as Jesus would.

Prayer

We pray for each other in our joys and our concerns. You may either request a prayer or pray for others through this page.
